England’s first home game of their qualifying campaign takes place on Friday 8th October 2004, kick-off 8.00pm. Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s and OAPs and fans are urged to book their seats early to avoid disappointment by calling the Blackburn Rovers ticket hotline on 08701 123456.

Peter Taylor’s team will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Group 6 table against Wales, after recording successive away victories over Austria (2-0) and Poland (3-1) in their two opening qualifying games.

A crowd of 30,000 saw England win their last match at Ewood Park three years ago against Greece, and Taylor is calling to local fans to get behind his side: “We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our UEFA Under 21 European Championship qualifying campaign, and we’ll be looking to carry that form over into the game against Wales.

"Ewood Park is a fantastic stadium and it would be great to have a full-house to cheer us on.”

England will then travel to Baku to play Azerbaijan on Tuesday 12th October, kick-off 5pm UK time.
