Peter Taylor has named his England Under-20s side to face Tunisia in their opening match of the Toulon Tournament tonight.

Normally in charge of the Under-21s, Taylor has taken charge of the U20s squad as England look forward to their first match in the 33rd Toulon Tournament having missed last year's event.

The England side has plenty of experience with nine of the starting eleven having enjoyed playing for the Under-21s.

Indeed James Milner, who will play on the right of midfield, played in every match for the U21s in 2004/05 and has ten caps at that level.

Milner's Newcastle United teammate Steven Taylor and defensive partners Liam Rosenior and Liam Ridgewell have also played for the U21s and are joined at the back by Middlesbrough's Andy Davies.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, Taylor said: "A lot of these players have already done well for me in the U21s, and in many ways the U20 team is the same as the U21s - they want to improve and go into the next group, which is the Seniors.''

England's midfield looks to be particularly strong, with Wayne Routledge, John Welsh and Tom Huddlestone joining Milner to complete the midfield quartet.

Up front Bradley Wright-Phillips will play only the second match of his England career having made his debut in the U20s' 2-0 win over Russia in February. He will be partnered by Darren Ambrose, the third Newcastle player in the team.

After tonight's match, England face Portugal on Saturday before closing their Group B campaign against South Korea on Monday and hopes of doing well in the tournament are high.

"It is a good tournament and there are always good teams here,'' Taylor said.

"It is a good experience for players to play in different countries, and it is good for me as I can see what I will have available in the future.

"We will look to win matches but we also want to play well,'' Taylor added. "We want the players to get used to the other players and how each other work. We want to finish by saying, 'England have done well'.''
