Justin Hoyte is out of the Toulon Tournament.
Wednesday, 01 June 2005.
Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte has withdrawn from the England U20s squad in Toulon after he picked up an injury.
England coach Peter Taylor has called-up Hull City defender Scott Wiseman to replace Hoyte.
Wiseman has never been called to up to an England squad before but, having made his breakthrough into the first team at
the KC Stadium this season, the call-up is well deserved.
England start their Toulon campaign against Tunisia tomorrow evening and follw that with games against Portugal on 04 June and South Korea two days later.
Before the start of the tournament, Taylor told TheFA.com: "The most important thing is that the players enjoy the tournament and learn from the experience that they will pick up from playing against different types of teams.
"I hope the players go out there and play well and learn so that next season, when many will be with the Under-21s, they are more developed players and can apply the knowledge they have gained."
