Nigel Pearson has left The FA to join Bryan Robson as assistant manager at West Bromwich Albion.
Nigel was a full-time member of the national coaching set-up for two and a half years, after time working as a part-time coach.
During this period he was involved with every England youth team from the Under-16s to the Under-20s. Most recently he was Under-20s head coach for their 1-0 victory over Holland last month.
He said: "It was a very difficult decision to leave The FA, where I have had some wonderful years.
"Working with the best young players in the country has been a fantastic experience and a huge honour, and I have been lucky enough to work with some great people.
"However, joining West Brom was an opportunity that I could not refuse, and I am very excited about my new role."
FA Director of Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking said: "Nigel made a huge contribution as a youth team coach and was well-liked and respected by everyone he worked with. He leaves The FA with our best wishes."
Nigel's move will reunite a partnership first formed during four years at Middlesbrough in the 1990s, when Robson and Pearson were manager and club captain respectively.
