The England U19 squad that will travel to the Czech Republic for the UEFA European U19 Championships later this month has been named.

Coach Noel Blake announced the 18 man squad live on Setanta Sports News on Wednesday evening ahead of the competition, which starts on Monday 14 July when the Young Lions face their hosts in Jablonec.

A 22 man squad took part in a three day training camp at the National Football Centre in Burton-on-Trent earlier this week, before the final squad was decided upon.

It has been a successful season for the U19s, who have suffered only one defeat in their 10 games under Head Coach Brian Eastick.

They secured their passage to the finals in May, when victories over Poland and Serbia and a draw with Belarus in the Elite Qualifying Round proved enough.

The Young Lions will now face the Czech Republic, Italy and Greece in their group games in the finals, ahead of possible semi-finals on Wednesday 23 July and the final on Sunday 26 July.

The other group in the competition contains Spain, Germany, Bulgaria and Hungary.
