The cream of England’s young football talent will be in action on 5 February when the U19s take on Croatia at Swindon Town’s County Ground.

The friendly fixture, which takes place just 24 hours before Fabio Capello leads the senior side out at Wembley Stadium against Switzerland, will give Brian Eastick’s squad a flavour of international football before their crucial European Championship qualifiers in May.

"Our qualifying campaign includes games against Belarus, Serbia and Poland so Croatia will certainly give us a taste of what to expect from Eastern European opposition," said Eastick.

England will have to be on top form if they are to reach the Euro Finals in the Czech Republic with only the seven group winners plus the hosts guaranteed a place for the July tournament.

Finding the net certainly hasn’t been a problem for England’s Young Lions this season though with a whopping 18 goals in just five international games and Eastick is sure that Swindon Town fans will be out in force to support the U19s.

"We’ve had some fantastic turnouts at places likes Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Barnsley this season," he added. "So hopefully Swindon Town can follow in their footsteps and create another great atmosphere."

Charter Standard clubs can claim up to 50 free tickets while group bookings are just 50p per person for parties of 15 or more.

Ground admission costs just £3 for adults in advance (£5 on the day) and £1 for concessions.
