The FA can today confirm that England U19s will play Switzerland in a friendly on 14 November at Crewe Alexandra's Gresty Road Stadium.

Following their recent adventure in Austria in the UEFA Preparatory Tournament, Coach Brian Eastick will be looking to continue the preparation for next year's European Championship qualifiers.

"We are very much looking forward to playing at Gresty Road in November, Crewe have a great tradition of producing young players under the guidance of Dario Gradi, who I'm proud to say is not only a former colleague but also a good friend," Brian told TheFA.com.

"I'm sure their fans will appreciate watching some of England's most promising youngsters in action.

"For this team it is important to continue our preparation to the European U19 Championship qualifiers next year and Switzerland will be very strong opponents given their history at this level.

"The players will have learned a great deal from the UEFA Preparatory Tournament earlier this month and hopefully they will take the experience of that tournament into this match.

"Hopefully it will be an entertaining and attractive game. Certainly the supporters of Crewe Alexandra appreciate attractive football and hopefully we can provide that."

Crewe Alexandra Chairman John Bowler said: "Crewe Alexandra are delighted to be hosting an England U19 international so soon after staging The FA Women’s Community Shield Final between Everton and Arsenal at the Alexandra Stadium in August.

The game will be a fantastic opportunity to see some of the most talented youngsters in the country and I hope that our fans and football fans from across the region come out in force to cheer on the Young Lions."
