Mark Noble will do all he can to help England lift the European Championship trophy

West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble is ready to make a name for himself and for England as he prepares for the UEFA European U19 Championship.
England’s U19s travel to Northern Ireland this weekend to embark on their Finals campaign with one thing on their minds – bringing the trophy back home.
France are up first in Monday’s opener and Martin Hunter’s team are aware of the task that lies ahead, but they believe they can be the first Three Lions team to win a major tournament in 13 years.
”We’re really confident that we can cement our names in history as it’s been a few years since England won a tournament,” said Noble when he spoke to TheFA.com at the team’s hotel in Manchester.
”I've played against the French a couple of times and you always get the same from them; they’re hard-working and technically very good.
”Ability-wise, all through the stats we’ve seen, they are about the same level as us, so that will be our hardest game. Armenia and Norway won’t be easy, though. They’ll be a different type of opposition, playing different styles and they’ll give us a test.”
The 18-year-old is playing in his second European tournament after reaching the semi-finals with the U17s in France a year ago.
Since then, he has enjoyed success in the Hammers’ first-team, culminating in the play-off victory over Preston to reach the sacred land of the Premiership. Now the ambitious young midfielder wants to continue that success with England next week.
”If you are proud of where you come from, then to play for England means a lot. But for me, playing a year up with the U19s in a tournament like this is a huge honour.
”I’ll give everything I’ve got when I’m playing with England. With the experience I have, I’m still only 18, I’ll put everything into this tournament,” he confirmed.
”We’ve got some other very good players in the squad with Premiership experience and we’ll all give it our best. Our aim is to win the European Finals.”
The tournament starts on Monday 18 July when England meet France and will be covered extensively here on TheFA.com. You can also see the game live on Eurosport as well as England's match versus Norway.
