England followed their fine victory over Sweden on Monday with a defiant win over a side two age groups above them, with super-sub Danny Rose popping up with a late winner.
Despite playing against older and more physically developed opponents, Kenny Swain's young side proved themselves to be more than a match for the host nation and created a number of chances.
With the players from the Under-16 age group taking their first steps into the next age group at this tournament, they faced an even more daunting prospect of playing a side a further two years older.
The advantage was skillfully brushed aside by superior football and tireless effort, and the reward for an impressive display came late on with a dramatic winning goal.
With Jonathan Franks taking over as captain from Jordan Spence, who suffered a slight knock in Monday's game with Sweden, there were four changes to the Three Lions lineup.
Gary Woods came in for Jason Steele in goal, while Tristan Plummer, Daniel Welbeck and Jack Ainsley also got their first starts of the tournament as Kenny Swain looked to share the duties throughout the pool of players.
While there were not as many goals as their previous match, England continued their fine attacking play and eventually they were rewarded with just two minutes to go in the match.
Leeds United striker Danny Rose came on for Jack Ainsley and within 20 minutes he was the hero of proceedings. Two minutes after the Faroe Islands were reduced to ten men when Johan Davidson was dismissed.
England now have a day's rest before the final match in the group with Norway, to determine who they will face in the playoffs on Saturday.
