England coach Kenny Swain was very impressed with his side as they scored seven times against the Faroe Islands.
Leicester City striker Ashley Chambers scored a hat-trick and had it not been for a very good performance from goalkeeper Jóan Pauli Jacobsen, it could have been even worse for the Faroes.
As a result, England consolidated their lead at the top of Group B and now need just a draw against Sweden on Friday to secure themselves a place in the final.
"I thought they did very well against the Faroes," Swain told TheFA.com.
"Those sort of games are very difficult because people expect you to win but you still need to apply yourselves properly.
"They went about the task very professionally and even when it was 5-0 they kept on going, as did the Faroe Islanders, to be fair to them."
With temperatures in the Icelandic capital reaching 19 degrees, the England squad are having the day off to have a look at some of the stunning landscapes that surround the city.
"After two matches in two days the boys deserve the rest day that they have today," Swain continued. "We have done a lot of work in training and in the matches and the lads have all responded very well to what's been asked of them.
"So today we're off to see some of the geological features near Reykjavik which I think we're all looking forward to. One place we are going is meant to be the oldest geyser in Iceland so that will be interesting.
"It will be good just to get out of the hotel and have some time together away from the training pitch."
