England are hosting the four-team tournament and will play Portugal, the United States and Italy at three venues in the West Country.

Peacock's side won the tournament last year and will be hopeful of doing well again this season as the build up to the UEFA Friendly Tournament in October-November continues.

Three players from last year's U17 squad - all of whom went to the European U17 Championship in Italy - are included in the squad.

Goalkeeper David Button won 11 caps last season and he will hope to add to that total, though the highly-rated Manchester United 'keeper Ben Amos will doubtless provide him with some stiff competition.

West Ham defender James Tomkins is also included as is Southampton winger Theo Walcott, who made his debut for the Saints in their Championship match against Wolves at the weekend.

Six players who took part in the recent Nordic Tournament are also in the squad including Southampton midfielder Jake Thompson and Charlton's Joshua Wright, both of whom captained the side in Iceland.

There is a particularly strong look to the squad, with two players from Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United and one from other top Premiership clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Middlesbrough.
