Player profiles:

Ashley Chambers, Leicester City
Forward, 1/3/90
Leicester forward Ashley has plenty of experience of playing for England, having been involved since U16 level. Ashley, who can also play right midfield, scored a hat-trick against the Faroe Islands in August 2005. Made Leicester history when, at 15 years and 203 days, he became the club's youngest ever first team player.

Medy Elito, Colchester United
Forward, 20/3/90
Medy is relatively new to the international scene having won just two caps before flying out for the World Cup. He made his debut in a 1-0 win against Portugal in February's Algarve Tournament before turning out against Germany.

Wesley Foderingham, Fulham
Goalkeeper, 14/1/91
Wesley, who is a year younger than the rest of the World Cup party, made his debut against Wales in the Victory Shield last year and was then on the bench as England won the competition against Scotland. Played the first half against Spain at Wembley in April.

Jonathan Franks, Middlesbrough FC
Forward, 08/04/1990
A powerful forward with pace and skill, Jonathan was a permanent fixture during his first year with England in the U16 age group. Figured again at U17 level and was part of the squad which reached the final of the European Championships. Equally comfortable on the wing or leading the line.

Daniel Gosling, Plymouth Argyle FC
Midfield, 1/2/1990
The highly-rated midfielder was called into the squad during the second half of the 2006/7 season. The fourth youngest player in the club's history when he made his debut against Hull in December, the Brixham born teenager was also on target last year.

Gavin Hoyte, Arsenal
Defender, 6/6/90
Arsenal defender Gavin is normally deployed at centre-half but can also play at full-back - versatility which will please Head Coach John Peacock. The younger brother of U21 international Justin, Gavin is strong in the tackle and good in the air.

Henri Lansbury, Arsenal FC
Midfielder, 12/10/1990

A talented midfielder with great passing ability, Henri has been involved with England since playing for the Under-16s. Henri has been with Arsenal's Academy since he was nine years old and has helped them into the semi finals of The FA Youth Cup last year. Was on target against Holland in the European Championships.

Victor Moses, Crystal Palace
Midfield, 12/12/1990
With pace and power, Victor is a handful for any defence. Throw in his eye for goal and here is a talented young striker. Highly regarded by his club, he was on target three times during the European Championships. Watch out for his spectacular goal celebration.

Rhys Murphy, Arsenal FC
Forward, 06/11/1990
A classic target man who can bring his team-mates into play, Rhys' goalscoring ability should not be underestimated. Scored a penalty during the European Championship draw with Belgium. Excelled in the Final against Spain, which England lost 1-0.

Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi, Chelsea FC
Defender, 15/05/1990

A natural athlete, Seth Nana's attacking tendencies were never more evident than when he scored a superb goal against Spain last October. Has been involved with England since Under-16 level.

Krystian Pearce, Birmingham City
Defender, 05/05/90
Krystian has gone from strength to strength since making his debut against Azerbaijan in August 2006. Scored in the 2-0 win over Iceland as England got their European Championship campaign off to a winning start. Performed admirably alongside Jordan Spence in the Final against Spain.

Tristan Plummer, Bristol City
Striker, 30/01/1990

A versatile player, Tristan can either play up front or in midfield. Enjoyed an excellent season with his club's reserve team last season, regularly finding the net. He carried his goalscoring form to the international stage, netting in the 4-2 win against Holland in the European Championships.

Nathan Porritt, Middlesbrough
Midfield, 9/1/1990

Nathan was recalled to the international scene towards the end of last season after recovering from a broken leg. The Middlesbrough teenager is a left winger with the ability to run at players. Started the European Championship Final against Spain.

James Reid, Nottingham Forest
Defender, 28/2/90
Another player with vast experience of playing for his country at U16 and U17 level, James has been recalled to the England side. A left-back who can push forward, he was on target for his club during last season's FA Youth Cup.

Tom Smith, Ipswich Town
Defender, 31/3/90
Brought up in New Zealand, Tom is an old-fashioned centre-half who is highly regarded at his club. He was involved with England for the first time in March when he helped his side qualify for the European Championships, starting against Serbia and Bosnia.

Alex Smithies, Huddersfield
Goalkeeper, 03/05/90
The Huddersfield youngster is familiar with the international scene although his opportunities were limited towards the end of the 2006/7 season due to the form of Jason Steele. His last appearance was in the 1-1 draw with France in February.

Jordan Spence, West Ham United FC
Defender, 24/05/1990
Jordan has been talismanic since making his debut for England U16s. After leading the Three Lions to the Victory Shield in 2005, the West Ham defender was captain as England reached the Final of the European Championships in Belgium.

Jason Steele, Middlesbrough
Goalkeeper, 18/08/1990

Born in Aycliffe Village, Jason was a regular for his club's Academy side last year, even making the step-up to the reserve side. Made the England number one shirt his own last year, conceding just four goals in five European Championship games.

Tom Taiwo, Chelsea
Midfield, 27/2/1990
An all-action midfielder who moved to Chelsea from Leeds, Tom is a diminutive but combative player who will give everything to the cause. Was a late replacement for the World Cup after Daniel Rose withdrew with a stress fracture.

Danny Welbeck, Manchester United
Midfield, 26/11/1990

Danny made his debut against Wales at Under-16 level two years ago. Another versatile midfielder, the United man was a key component in England's run to the European Championship Finals, starting three games. Singled out by Sir Alex Ferguson as one to watch.

Michael Woods, Chelsea FC
Midfielder, 06/04/1990
It took Michael just six minutes to announce himself on the U17s stage, waltzing through the Turkey defence on debut before blasting into the top corner. A holding midfielder, Michael became the fourth youngest player in Chelsea's history when he came on as a sub against Macclesfield in the Third Round of The FA Cup.
