Kenny Swain's Young Lions win the Victory Shield outright with a thrilling win over Scotland at Glanford Park.

Kenny Swain has named his 18-man squad to take part in the Montaigu Tournament in France at the end of the month.

It will the first time the players have played in a tournament schedule this season, having lifted the Sky Sports Victory Shield in December, before travelling to Slovenia last month for a one-off friendly match.

The main step up for the players will be playing three matches, or potentially four dependant on progress, in a short space of time.

So far this season England have played four games, winning twice, drawing once and losing their last encounter away to Slovenia.

In the Victory Shield the Three Lions were held by Wales in Camarthen after Nathan Delfouneso had opened the scoring. In their second match away to Northern Ireland, Kenny Swain's side swept aside Des Curry's side 3-0, with an own goal from Conor McLaughlin opening the scoring.

Aston Villa's Nathan Delfouneso grabbed another goal before Sanchez Watt completed the scoring. In the final game of the competition England overpowered Scotland at Scunthorpe to take the spoils.

Manchester United midfielder Nicky Ajose scored a wonderful goal to level the scores after the Auld Enemy had taken the lead, before Delfouneso notched his third in as many games to win the game.
