England's brightest young football stars are heading for York for the final game of the Sky Sports Victory Shield, when they are set to take on Scotland.
England's U16s will take on their Scottish counterparts in the final match of the prestigious Sky Sports Victory Shield competition at York City's KitKat Crescent on 8 December.
Scotland currently lead the way in the tournament after opening with a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland, with England and Wales in joint second place following their 1-1 draw at Carmarthan.
Wales travel to Scotland this Friday, while England head to Ballymena the following week for their second match of the tournament.
Current England players such as Wayne Rooney, Joe Cole, Michael Owen, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe all made their first steps to stardom when they appeared in the Victory Shield.
England Under-16s Coach Kenny Swain said: "The Victory Shield has a fantastic tradition. It has seen many players in the past who have gone on to become full England internationals. We have some very talented players in this group and I'm sure it will be a great opportunity for football fans to see those players in action.
"We are very much looking forward to playing in York and it will be a valuable experience for the players to play in front of a big, noisy crowd, something they won't have done too many times before."
York City Managing Director Jason McGill added: "We are delighted The Football Association has chosen York City Football Club to host the England Under-16s game against Scotland. We feel very honoured to be associated with this prestigious international fixture.
"We hope our supporters and football fans in the local community will support our national team and come along to KitKat Crescent to see the stars of the future in action."
Advance tickets are priced just £3 for adults (£5 on match day) and £1 for Under-16s and OAPs. Group discounts are also available by clicking the links above.
