England's Young Lions have spent this week gearing up for their very first match for their country, as they prepare for the trip to Wales in the Sky Sports Victory Shield.
With England looking to keep their name on the Victory Shield for the sixth successive year, Kenny Swain has been putting the players through their paces and has been impressed so far.
Kenny told TheFA.com: "It's been great this week, we have a full compliment of players at this point which is always a good position to be in.
"Like a lot of kids at this young age they have big expectations but also anxieties about this week, and that's only natural.
"Coming into a new environment there will always be nerves, but by now they are starting to get to know each other and settling in to the swing of things."
Kenny also outlined the quality that he has to choose from for the first match of this tournament with Wales.
"In terms of technical ability they are as good a bunch as we have had in the past," Kenny explained.
"They can all use the ball really well and their understanding is good in terms of tactics and formations.
"At this stage we're not too concerned with the opposition, it's more about what our own players can do and how they can improve and develop as players. They are looking very promising in training but the acid test is always the game and we'll see on Friday how they cope."
