Current U16s Head Coach John McDermott steps up to work with Under-21s Head Coach Peter Taylor.

Kenny rejoins The FA after a previous stint saw him perform the roles of Regional Coach, Talent ID Scout and a spell working with the Under-16s alongside Dick Bate.

Sir Trevor told this website: "Kenny’s role will involve taking charge of the U16 side, coordinating the Talent ID scouts within this younger age group, plus also helping in Coach Education which I envisage will grow during the months ahead.

"This is a crucial role, ensuring that young players joining clubs from schools at 15-16 year olds are included
in the scouting network.

"His regional coaching experience in the past should be ideal for these additional areas of work.

"After recently teaching in schools, Kenny can also highlight problems facing the education sector, as The FA looks to support the development of coaching amongst 6-12 year olds, as well as at the elite level."
