Sol Campbell captained England on his most recent appearance in May 2005.

Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has declared himself fit and ready to regain his place in the England team.
Campbell has been back to his imperious best in recent weeks after finally returning from an injury-plagued year with the Gunners and England.
Campbell and Chelsea defender John Terry were England's Euro 2004 partnership but with the Gunners stopper unavailable, Rio Ferdinand and Terry have formed England's central defensive pairing.
England Head Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is announcing his squad for the World Cup Group Six qualifiers against Austria and Poland this Sunday and will have to decide whether to call Campbell back to the fold.
Campbell, who has 65 caps and last played on England's tour of the USA in May, said: "I'm ready, it's as simple as that. Of course I've missed it. I'm coming back. It has been a long road. The main thing is I'm fit.
"I'm getting stronger, so are my heart and lungs. My game is getting better and better, the focus - it isall good. It is coming together, and with every
game I play, I am getting stronger, so that is the main thing."
Should he do so, Eriksson will then have to decide who to leave out of his three regular defenders for the first time when all three are available for selection.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no doubts that Campbell is worthy of a place in the England squad.
"He looks physically sharper than he was for the whole of last season," said Wenger.
"The problems he had were down to his ankle injury which took a while to clear up. He said to me that he never played a game completely fit and ready last year.
"When you have an important player like Sol who is injured for such a long time you are naturally worried. Why should the ankle clear but then the Achilles, which was an old problem, occur?
"I was really worried because I didn't know how much time it would take for him to get fit and play without any problems. Thankfully, that's all behind him now.
"It's down to Sven whether he should now get a recall with England but, in the last two games, he has looked in international form."
