Jonathan made his international debut in a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria back in mid-1999. He's since gone on to become to one of the country’s classiest central defenders.
He began his career at Leeds before, in August 2004, he secured a £13.4 million move from Newcastle United to the 'Galacticos' of Real Madrid.
Injury plagued his first season in Madrid but he's now fit and aiming to force his way into both Madrid's side and Sven's plans. |
