Combative and committed, Danny made just two starts and five appearances as a substitute before the 2002 World Cup Finals but was one of the successes of the tournament for England, starting all five matches. Has since gone on to become a regular in the England squad and has added to his caps. Domestically Danny has just completed his move from relegated Leeds United to Manchester City.
