David won his first senior England cap against Mexico in 1997 and for a long spell following David Seaman's retirement, made the England ’keeper’s jersey his own. David had two super games against Turkey to help England qualify for Euro 2004 and moved to Manchester City to test himself in the Premiership once more in the run-up to the Championship in Portugal, where he was an ever-present.
