The England Kit Launch

It's here, the new England home kit and you will be able to see it first when the Three Lions take on Spain at Old Trafford.

Umbro have today revealed the new England home kit, that will be debuted when the Three Lions take on Spain at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

The new design has strong visual dynamics with clever attention detail. The red shoulder flash evokes the Cross of St. George, whilst the side panel incorporates the Three Lions as a graphic print.

A holographic gold star is positioned centrally above the dominant England crest in reference to the World Cup victory of 1966. Modern construction techniques include laser cutting across the shoulder and thermal bonded cuffs increasing comfort levels for players and fans. The all important stamp of authenticity is embossed directly into the fabric.

Alongside the new England Home Kit, UMBRO has developed the second generation of England X Ball which will be used in all England home matches. The England X Ball II uses a striking symmetrical design to increase visibility of the ball’s flight in all types of light.

Tested to earn the tough FIFA Approved stamp of quality, the England X ball II has been designed to be used by all England teams.

John Terry, England Captain and defender said: “I’ve been involved in testing all of Umbro’s England products. These X boot Destroyers are ideal for me as a defender because they give protection to all the important parts of the foot. Design wise, I think the new boots and X ball II look great with the new kit.”

Martin Prothero, Senior Vice President of Football at UMBRO, commented: “We are proud to be an official supporter of The FA and England’s Official Kit and Ball Supplier.

"Our recent extended deal with The FA demonstrates our long-term commitment to providing all England teams with the most technically advanced and well designed range of products possible, helping to develop the game in this country at all levels.”

Jonathan Hill, Commercial Director of the FA, said: “The FA and UMBRO always work very closely together to develop the best possible kit for all the England teams and for the fans.

"Yet again, I think the new playing kit has pushed the boundaries of technology to give the players every possible advantage, while the design remains absolutely true to England’s heritage.”
