England Head Coach Steve McClaren was handed a boost when Rio Ferdinand came through Monday's training session unscathed.

The defender missed England's draw with Macedonia with a back injury but has recovered and will travel to Croatia on Tuesday.

"Rio trained today and it is good to have him back with us. He will be travelling with the squad and expects to train tomorrow in Croatia, providing there is no reaction."

However, Ledley King, who ably stepped in when Ferdinand pulled out against Macedonia, missed training although should be ready to return to action tomorrow.

"Ledley King missed training but is also expected to train with the rest of the squad tomorrow."
