England 5-0 Andorra

Steve McClaren talks to the media in Skopje a day before his England side take on Macedonia in their second Euro 2008 qualifier.

Steve McClaren has told his players not to underestimate Macedonia in Wednesday's Euro 2008 Qualifier in Skopje.

The Three Lions cruised to a 5-0 victory over Andorra at Old Trafford on Saturday, but McClaren has warned that this game - his first away match as Head Coach - will be a different proposition.

The former assistant coach remembers the Euro 2004 qualifiers against the eastern Europeans in 2002 and 2003, when Macedonia earned a 2-2 draw in Southampton, then pushed England close in Skopje when the Three Lions came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney and David Beckham.

McClaren said: "We've got this qualifying campaign off to a good start, but people are saying this will be an easy game. My message is don't underestimate Macedonia.

"Macedonia have won the last three away games and drew twice with Holland in the World Cup qualifiers.

"They have an experienced manager and they are the home side, but if we take all these ingredients into account, don't underestimate them and play to our potential, we should get the points.

"They surprised us at St Mary's in 2002 because they are very quick and good on the break. I've also heard it was a great atmosphere in Skopje in 2003 and I expect that again."
