The England captain has declared his love for playing the game, but feels that a step into management once he hangs up his famous boots would not suit him as well.

Many feel that Beckham could become the perfect manager if his work with his own football academy in east London is anything to go by, but he says that he has other priorities in his life.

Beckham said: "I wouldn't like to be a manager, it's not the hard work but I think I love being a footballer - that's my passion.

"Being a manager would not be a passion for me.

"After football, I've got my academies that I've just started up and I feel very strongly about them. It's a very personal thing for me that I've always wanted.

"I'm also a Unicef ambassador and that's going to be a big part of my life when I finish playing, plus spending time with the kids and my wife Victoria."
