Sven, who has lost just three competitive matches in charge, watches England beat Argentina.
Sven's record
Tuesday, 24 January 2006.
Following news that Sven will step down as England Head Coach in the summer, we look back at the Swede's record since his appointment.
There were a few raised eyebrows when Sven was named as England's first foreign coach, but his record is excellent, with just three defeats in 33 competitive matches.
Of Sven's 23 wins in competitive action, the highlight is arguably the 5-1 win over Germany in Munich, where a Michael Owen hat-trick and further goals from Steven Gerrard and Emile Heskey completed an unforgettable night.
Friendly matches have often been used to blood new players, but Sven's England proved they can mix it with the best in November, coming back from 2-1 down against Argentina to win 3-2.
