Paraguay, Sweden and Trinidad & Tobago will all face Sven's men next summer in Group B. And they seemed to think it was an exciting combination of teams going head-to-head for a place in the knock-out stages.

Trinidad & Tobago defender Dennis Lawrence, who plys his trade with Wrexham, said: "I can just imagine the party going on in Port of Spain because I am excited myself.

"I didn't want to go charging round the room celebrating in case I injured myself. But we have got some really good teams in our group such as Paraguay and Sweden too."

Trinidad team-mate Chris Birchall, who plays for Port Vale, added: "It was the best possible draw that could have come out. When I saw the slip of paper come out it was a dream.

"For the first ten seconds I was cheering and running around the bar I was in. It has not sunk in yet that I will be lining up against the players I see in the Premiership.

"I can't wait for Germany now. We just want to enjoy it because there will not be any pressure on us."

Paraguay coach Anibal Ruiz was in bullish mood as he predicted a decent showing from the South American side. "I really believe we can have a good World Cup because of our blend of youth and experience," he said.
