England skipper David Beckham has challenged his team to put on a performance like that against Argentina in the World Cup Finals in Germany next summer.
Becks and co stunned the team rated second best in the world with an exhilarating come-back in Geneva and now their captain is calling for more of the same when it really matters.
"If we perform like that in the World Cup Finals then we’ll be happy," he told TheFA.com. "This was special occasion. These games against Argentina always are.
"We can’t get too carried away with the result but we’ll enjoy the performance and we’ll enjoy the result for now."
For the millions watching at home, it was probably one of the best friendly matches they have ever seen and David confirmed the players felt that same buzz in the dressing room too.
"I said at half-time that it felt like a World Cup Qualifier or a World Cup game," he explained. "That is the atmosphere that was made by the fans, the opposition and the spirit that we played in.
"All the way through the game we created chances. It wasn’t just the three goals that we scored but there were lots of others too.
"That was the pleasing thing about tonight. But the most important and pleasing thing was the passion and pride that the whole team showed.
"The togetherness that we showed in first of all in coming back from 1-0 and then 2-1 made it a great overall performance."
Prior to the game, we spoke to David about his 50th cap as England captain, click below to watch that two-part interview.
