Owen ready for old foes

Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has trained with his England team-mates in New York after flying in from Spain to prepare to face old foes Colombia in the final game of England’s summer tour of America.
Owen seemed full of confidence after a goalscoring finish to the season in Spain on Saturday and also has fond memories of facing the Colombians in the 1998 World Cup in France.
Owen, looking for his 30th England goal in what will be his 70th senior international appearance, said: "It’s great to be in an exciting city such as
New York, where I played with Liverpool last summer.
"I’ve had a good end to my first season, under my third manager, in Spain and to beat Colombia again would be a fantastic way to round the season off.
"I came into professional football to win caps and score goals for my country so I’ll be looking to do the same on Tuesday.
"I saw the highlights of our win over the USA on Saturday and it showed what good young players we have in our country.
"I was impressed with Richardson and his two goals from midfield on his debut is a remarkable achievement.
"I hope he can go on to improve by gaining a regular first team place at Manchester United and a regular England squad place could follow from that."
