Charlton Athletic striker Darren Bent has been called-up into the England squad to replace Andrew Johnson who has withdrawn through injury.
It is the 21-year-old striker's first involvement with the England Seniors squad and comes after he scored twice on debut for the Addicks.
Bent has a fantastic goalscoring record for the England U21s, scoring eight times in 12 matches and he gets his chance after Johnson picked up a hamstring injury in Crystal Palace's 1-1 draw away to Norwich City.
"I got a late phone call last night," England Head Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson explained, "saying he [Johnson] has a hamstring injury so now we have Darren Bent from the U21s squad."
England take on Denmark for the first time since the 3-2 reverse at Old Trafford back in November 2003 and the match offers Sven the chance to prepare his side ahead of two crucial World Cup qualifiers in Cardiff and Belfast next month.
"It's the first time this season we are together, so that's important," Sven continued. "I am looking forward to seeing the players and preparing for September and October."
