Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has been handed his first start for England six months after he made his debut for the Three Lions against Ukraine last August.

He will look to join Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney upfront, whilst also linking up with the midfield trio of captain David Beckham, TheFA.com England Player of 2004 Frank Lampard and Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.

At the back England's well-documented injury problems mean that Sven has decided to go for a central-defensive partnership of Wes Brown and Jamie Carragher.

For the Liverpool man it is a well-deserved 17th cap whilst Manchester United's Brown has not played for his country since winning his seventh cap as a substitute against Australia two years ago.

England have a more familiar look in the full-back positions with Gary Neville and Ashley Cole playing once more whilst Paul Robinson continues in goal.
