The Stadion Slaski (pronounced Shlonski) is a vast bowl in the mould of many Socialist arenas of the post-war period, although it is set apart by the red and white striped tower block of offices rising from the west side banking.

Located in the industrialised region of Slask, the Bredy and Brzuchowski designed stadium opened its doors after three years of construction on 22 July 1956, with Poland suffering a 2-0 friendly defeat to East Germany.

Chorzow's arena has been the host of numerous internationals, Cup Finals, European matches, and important league fixtures, proving popular with fans and players alike due to the cauldron of sound the sunken pitch and open banking encourages.
