Exclusive Interview: Paul Robinson

England's Number One talks to TheFA.com ahead of England's Group Six World Cup Qualifier at home to Austria.

England number one Paul Robinson is determined to put the memory of Windsor Park behind him this week - and will be out to stop his Spurs team-mate from scoring at Old Trafford.

Robinson could do little about David Healy's goal when Northern Ireland beat England last month but with qualification still in England's hands, he is confident Sven-Goran Eriksson's team can start planning for Germany 2006.

"The mood in the camp is good," said Robinson. "We're disappointed with the Ireland game but we're fortunate that this game has come up quickly enough that we can put things right.

"There's always a mood of determination but we know we let ourselves down that night. We have to perform better than that and make the Ireland game a distant memory."

Robinson has established himself as England's first choice goalkeeper over the last few months but believes he still has a lot to learn.

"I'm going from strength to strength. It's been nearly a year since I got into the team and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

"I'm still young and still learning and the day I think I've cracked it is when I have a problem."

England face Austria at Old Trafford on Saturday and then face Poland on Wednesday and Robinson has been able to assess one of Poland's strikers at first hand following Grzegorz Rasiak's move from Derby County to Tottenham.

"The England boys have been telling him that we're going to beat him and top the group," added Robinson.

"There's a lot to play for. We have the quality in our team and if we work as hard as the opposition, the quality will come through."
