Austria cannot qualify for next year's finals in Germany but with Euro 2008 coming up, which they are co-hosting with Switzerland, there is more than just pride to play for.

And Herzog believes England are there for the taking after disappointing results against Denmark and Northern Ireland recently.

"We want to play self-confidently, showing courage and taking risks to expose England's weaknesses," said Herzog.

"All the pressure is on Sven-Goran Eriksson's team. Their recent results were poor and they simply have to beat us at home."

"We are stronger than the Northern Irish, so everything is possible. We want our players to show their full potential and have fun out on the pitch at Old Trafford.

"After these 90 minutes we will know something about the courage of this team."

Austria have their own problems after sacking manager Hans Krankl a fortnight ago and defender Martin Stranzl believes the side have what it takes to beat England.

"For our game against England, we would like to play the same way as Denmark did [in their 4-1 friendly win in August].

"They didn't want to play for a 0-0 draw, they wanted to play against England for the win. We will also only have a chance if we try to play football."

Goalkeeper Helge Payer is a doubt after suffering a thing injury so Juergen Macho stands by while Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz is suspended.
