Liverpool's Steven Gerrard will receive treatment ahead of the match against Austria
Thursday, 02 September 2004.
During this morning's training session at London Colney, in which all 22 members of Sven's squad were present, midfielder Steven Gerrard pulled out in the closing moments with a slight groin complaint.
Speaking to TheFA.com, The FA's Head of Media Relations Adrian Bevington updated us on the midfielder's situation: "Steven felt a tightness in his groin during the last ten minutes of training today.
"Medical staff will continue to treat him and, though it is possible he'll miss training tomorrow, we are confident that Steven will be fit for the game in Vienna on Saturday night."
