Janas' side take on England a week today, but before then they take on Northern Ireland in Belfast this weekend.

Poland are the second seeds in England's group and will be expected to push for the one automatic berth that the group offers.

There are thirteen foriegn-based players in the Polish squad including two players who currently ply their trade in the Premiership - goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek of Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion's Tomasz Kuszczak.

Poland and England have a long history of being drawn together in qualifying for both the World Cup and the European Championship. Since 1986, the two sides have met 11 times, with England winning seven and drawing four.
