Gary Neville is delighted England are playing Poland on Wednesday night - so the team can return to calm water as soon as possible.
Neville is mystified as to how England failed to beat Austria having dominated their opponents for most of the game.
Even after they drew level, there was still time for substitute Jermain Defoe to send a shot agonisingly against the post.
The Manchester United defender admits there is an air of frustration in the camp, but that the timing of a second World Cup qualifying game means England can move on quickly.
He said: "For 70 minutes the water was very calm and everything was going perfectly for us but they get a goal, their tails are up after a poor performance by them and it ends up being a little bit messy at the end.
"We wanted six points from two games which isn't going to happen now, but we obviously have an opportunity to go and put it right on Wednesday which is a good thing for us. You usually have to wait a month, we've only got three days to wait.
"We have an opportunity to right a few wrongs. It looks like a bit of a panic performance from us when in fact for 70 minutes it was perfect for us.
"You give goals away at any level of football and all of a sudden it creates a little bit of a panic. Clean sheets are important. We were cruising this match for 70 minutes and you could never see anything happening, you could never see a problem.
"We still had the best chances in the last five to ten minutes when Jermain Defoe hit the post and I can't remember them having any chances throughout the match.
"We weren't ruthless enough because we made mistakes for the goals and that means we are not ruthless enough, but it wasn't for the want of trying and we will try and put that right on Wednesday night."
