Sol Campbell relaxes in a break at training with Jermaine Jenas and David Beckham
Sol's training visit
Wednesday, 31 August 2005.
A friendly face turned up to watch England train at Arsenal's London Colney HQ and received a very warm welcome.
Gunners defender Sol Campbell has been out of action since May and played his first game since injuring his calf last night.
He played the full 90 minute in Arsenal reserves' 5-2 win over Leicester City and was back at the training centre this morning.
Sol watched on as Sven's England team trained ahead of the two upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
He also had chance to catch up with some of his Three Lions pals, including skipper David Beckham and Jermaine Jenas.
England Coach Tord Grip was delighted to see Campbell and hopes that now he's back in action with Arsenal a return to the England set-up will soon follow.
"It's really nice to see Sol here today," said Tord. "He's always part of our thinking.
"It was great to see him play 90 minutes for Arsenal last night and hopefully he can be back in the England reckoning very soon."
