Not only will he miss the game against the Three Lions, but he'll also be unavailable for the qualifier against Poland in Warsaw four days later.

Wales manager John Toshack named his squad today, which included several players who missed Wednesday's friendly against Slovenia through injury.

Toshack, who lost nine players for the Slovenia game, said: "I maybe expect half of those nine not to make it for England, but they have to be in the squad because we can't change a squad later on.

"If they don't make it then we will move players up from the Under-21s again. We will put a side out to play the way we think is the best to get a victory with what we have got to select from.''

Aston Villa's Mark Delaney is out again with a knee problem and there are serious doubts about the fitness of young goalkeeper Lewis Price and midfielder Jason Koumas.

But Toshack expects the other absentees from this week - Danny Collins, James Collins, Ryan Giggs, and Simon Davies - to be involved in the England game.

Toshack added: "Knowing the injuries some have got, it will be touch and go whether they make it.

"Three or four will probably not play for their clubs before the England game even if they are back in training.

"It means I have had to name a few more players than normal, and others will come from the Under-21s with several lads there on stand-by.''
