England Head Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has named his 23-man party to face Austria and Poland in September's vital World Cup qualification double-header.
Sven's men kick off their campaign against Austria on Saturday 4 September in the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, and travel to Poland for their second qualifier in Chorzow on 8 September.
Joe Cole, who was not fit for England's recent friendly against Ukraine, returns to the squad after a highly promising start to the season at Chelsea, and Norwich City's Robert Green steps in to replace the injured Chris Kirkland.
Whilst Emile Heskey misses out, Jermain Defoe retains his place following an impressive goal-scoring performance for Spurs on Saturday. He is joined in the attacking line by Michael Owen, making his first appearance in a competitive international as a Real Madrid 'Galactico'.
After an electric display against Ukraine, Manchester City's flying winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is called up again, although his back will require an assessment by England's medical staff.
