England will play at the Ullevi Stadium for the first time in 39 years.
Monday, 29 March 2004.
The Nya Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg was built for the 1958 World Cup which was hosted by Sweden.
Though the ground din't host the Final, it did see the home side beat West Germany 3-1 in one of the two semi-finals.
The ground also saw France beat the Germans 6-3 to claim third place. Top scorer Just Fontaine scored four times on his way to a record 13 goals in the tournament.
In 1992, when Sweden were the hosts for the European Championship, the Ullevi was chosen for the Final which saw Denmark pull off one of the greatest shocks in European football history as they beat world champions Germany to win the Henri Delaunay trophy for the first time.
Though the ground now has a capacity of 43,200, the record attendance of 52,196 was for a Swedish league match on 30 June 1959.
England only previous match at the Nya Ullevi was played on a miserable grey day in May 1965. Alf Ramsey's side beat Sweden 2-1 thanks to goals from Blackpool's Alan Ball and Manchester United left-winger John Connelly.
