King, who scored in Tottenham's 4-2 win over Charlton last week, replaces his former club colleague Campbell who has groin injury.

Campbell was himself involved in Cup action today as the Gunners' beat London rivals Chelsea 2-1 at Highbury, but the 29 year-old's injury will keep him out of the trip to take on the hosts of Euro 2004 as he aims to recover.

King, who made his full England debut against Italy at Elland Road in 2002, will step into Campbell's place and hope to use these few days to convince Sven he is worth a place in the squad for EURO 2004.

Sven is looking forward to working with him again.

He told us: "Ledley is another good young player that we have. I have seen him play several times this season. He is strong and skilful and can play in many positions. It will be good to have him with us."
