"Our chef has specifically requested the local fish here in South Africa to replace the sole and halibut that is unavailable," The FA's Head of Media Relations Adrian Bevington told TheFA.com.

"The players ate the local King Klip fish as their first meal here in Durban and everyone enjoyed it. We will also be eating the local cob fish instead of halibut during our stay.

"The only food that the England team regularly brings with it on away trips are Jaffa Cakes and Nutri-bars.

"To suggest that we would fly English fish all the way to South Africa is ludicrous."
