England's forthcoming trip to Liechtenstein is now only a few weeks away. Sven is currently finalising his plans for the match, while those involved in the travel and ticketing for the game are also working hard to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Ray Whitworth, The FA's Head of Team Security, is keen that everything goes to plan on the trip. He told TheFA.com that fans need to be aware of the ticketing issues that are surrounding this game.

"It's coming to our attention that there is a possibility that forged tickets may be surfacing for the Liechtenstein qualifier," he said.

"Clearly no one should be buying these tickets, least of all englandfans, whose membership would certainly come into question if we were to receive information that they had been purchasing these tickets.

"We are not trying to scare fans, but it is important that they know the situation, the risks and the reasoning behind it.

"We understand the fans' frustration when they can't get to see the team, and clearly in the case of Liechtenstein, when we only have an allocation of 900 tickets, not everyone that wants to see the game will be able to do so. At the same time, it is our responsibility to make it clear that any members of englandfans travelling to the game without an official ticket for the game, do so without our blessing.

"Only authorised parties people can sell tickets. That's why people who buy their tickets and then sell them on to anyone, whether or not they are an englanfan, are putting themselves in a position that could lead to a police enquiry.

"The message that we'd like to convey is that if fans want to watch England play abroad, it's hugely counter-productive for them to attempt to get tickets in any way other than through the official channels.

"It only serves to undermine The FA when we have our own discussion with UEFA and FIFA to try to increase our ticket allocations to allow as many supporters as possible to support the team."

*Members of englandfans with tickets for the Liechtenstein game are reminded that they will only be able to gain entry to the official England area of the ground on production of both a match ticket and a current englandfan membership card.

Members without a current englandfans cards should contact englandfans prior to travelling to the game.
