The in-form Arsenal centre back has resumed full training and is now raring to go having missed Saturday's match in Slovakia with a stomach bug.

Sol said: ``It was really frustrating for me not to be involved on Saturday. I had a fantastic World Cup and the illness came at the wrong time.

``I didn't want to risk spreading the illness on the plane out to Slovakia. I didn't want that situation happening and I said I would turn up on Sunday with the squad and go on from there.

``I started training over the weekend and I feel fine. I was disappointed not to be involved on Saturday but the most important thing was that England got the three points. It was a difficult game.

``Gareth and Jonathan did well and that's football. If England lose a player, there is always someone else to fill the gap. I respect the situation that England is bigger than any player and it is good that we have made a successful start.''
