England take on Cameroon in their final World Cup warm up international tomorrow in Kobe, and with the match kicking off at 7.00am BST, fans face an early morning start.
The game will be shown live on SkySports, and will also be covered by BBC Radio 5 Live, giving fans in England the chance to fine tune their own preparations for the tournament.
Sven-Goran Eriksson faces rather more crucial preparations himself in Japan, as injury problems restrict his ability to play a first choice team against the African champions.
David Seaman is the latest doubt after suffering a groin injury in training, and captain David Beckham and Kieron Dyer were never in the running to return for this game.
"We are going to let more or less everyone play as we did in all the friendly games," said Eriksson. "At this point that is the only way to do it.
"It is one week before (the World Cup) and it is good to have the game even if we can't have the team that might play against Sweden."
On the positive side, Trevor Sinclair arrived safely in Japan as Danny Murphy's replacement, and has declared himself ready for action.
"Now I am back it would mean so much to me to play in the World Cup finals - especially after all the travelling I've done," said the West Ham midfielder.
Cameroon themselves have not been without problems, as their arrival in Japan was delayed several days, giving the team little time to acclimatise before tomorrow's warm up game.
The 3 Lions and the Indomitable Lions have met on three occasions previously, the most recent being a friendly at Wembley, which Glann Hoddle's side won 2-0. This followed another friendly at a ferociously cold Wembley Stadium in 1991.
The more famous game between the two sides is the World Cup quarter-final in 1990, which England won 3-2 in Naples after being behind with minutes left.
They were rescued by two penalties from Gary Lineker, but the performance of Cameroon marked them out as the strongest African nation - a position they retain today, after winning the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
Cameroon have been matched with Germany, the Republic of Ireland and Saudi Arabia in Group E, and kick off their World Cup campaign against Mick McCarthy's men next Saturday in Niigata.
