My Favourite England Goal was either Michael Owen's against Argentina in World Cup '98 or Steven Gerrard's against Germany in the World Cup 2002 qualifier. If I had to choose I'd say Michael Owen's beacause it was the first fooball match I ever watched on television and made me support Liverpool. Michael Richardson

One of my all time favourite Englands goal has to be Michael Owen's solo effort against the Argentinians back in the World Cup in 1998. As a budding footballer, seeing someone so young making the grade makes it all seem possible. Just a shame about the dreaded shootout again!!! Peter Davis

My favourite England goal is Geoff Hurst's third goal in the 1966 World Cup Final. It was a fantastic finish for a player, like the rest of the team who never stopped running for 120 minutes. It it never got the recognition it deserved because it was overshadowed by the occasion. Michael Trueman

I love the goal David Platt scored in the 1990 World Cup second round against Belgium . It was the last minute of extra time and the cross from Gazza was floated in and Platt swivelled and volleyed the ball into the top corner with such style. It was an important goal to say the least as we went on to progress to the semi final. Everyone in the country was inspired by that goal and World Cup fever really took off in England that summer.
