Joleon Lescott tells FATV it was a steady victory over Norway.
Following England's 1-0 win over Norway in Oslo, FATV caught up with Three Lions defender Joleon Lescott to get his thoughts on the game.
Ashley Young's ninth-minute goal provided new England Manager Roy Hodgson with a victory in his first game in charge and Lescott says much of what they have worked on in training came out during the 90 minutes.
"It was important to get the result," said Lescott. "We'd have like to gone on and got more goals, but they were a well organised team.
"It was steady and a good start for the Manager as well. He's passed on as much as he can in the time we've trained together and work together, so a lot of his points came out in the game."
