Lescott joins England squad

Manchester City defender called into squad as Chamberlain withdraws.
Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott was called into the England squad on Monday morning as the Three Lions trained for the first time ahead of their international match with Italy on Wednesday.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reported to the team hotel but has withdrawn with an ankle injury. Joe Hart (back) and Daniel Sturridge (toe) pulled out from the squad on Sunday.
Roy Hodgson's men face their Euro 2012 conquerers in Berne, Switzerland, in their first match of the new season as they build towards the 2014 World Cup qualification campaign which starts next month.
Four of the five nations England face in their qualifying Group H are also in action this week.
The same night Montenegro are at home to Latvia, Ukraine take on Czech Republic, Poland travel to Estonia and Moldova meet Albania, while San Marino play Malta on Tuesday.
