He waits for his Manchester United team-mate's overlapping run and slips him through into the box. Simon Mignolet comes out but Welbeck chips over the onrushing Sunderland stopper to register his first senior goal.

Mertens slotted home the loose ball, but was quickly shown the yellow card. The clash also forced Cahill off injured.
15'Chamberlain comes close with a clean strike this time. After Danny Welbeck bent his run in behind the Belgians, he laid off to the Arsenal winger 20 yards out. The shot goes over the bar, though.
