Spain game sold out

Friday, 04 November, 2011

England's Street League International against Spain has sold out.

The World and European Champions visit Wembley on 12 November for the first time since Euro '96, but for many of their players it will be a second visit this year following Barcelona's victory in the UEFA Champions League Final in May.

Three days after the Spanish come to Wembley, England face Sweden and tickets are still available for the second game of the home double-header.

The match will be the 22nd meeting between the two teams, and in the previous encounters the record is all-square with six victories each and nine draws. The last time the two sides faced each other was a 2-2 draw in Cologne, Joe Cole and Steven Gerrard scoring for England in their third group game at the World Cup in 2006.

It will be Sweden's first visit to the new Wembley Stadium, and their first trip to London since the goalless draw at Wembley in 1999. The last time England beat Sweden at Wembley was in 1968, with goals from Sir Bobby Charlton, Martin Peters and Roger Hunt.
